I can't fucking wait for Battle Colloseum or XI anymore.
When is Neowave coming out here in the USA? I have to play that. That game is infinitely better than 2002 will ever be. |

| Soonish, probably. It's out in Japan this week. Will be on Xbox in North America, so factor in some porting time. Maybe this fall. |

| I brought back an ages old atari monitor and my Neo Geo at work, and play the shit out of Real Bout 2 with a programer friend. The more I play this game, the less I can get back on KOF. I have to try the Neo CD version on my PSP someday. |

Chaz, I've missed you.
I played Golden Axe with my up-and-coming actor friend today. He selected it from the Sega Ages collection while I was taking a shower. Maybe Golden Axe has appeal to those who don't play games often?
Is Golden Axe a fighting game?
It has fighting but I suppose it's more under "brawler," right?
Jeez, genres. |

I remember seeing that in Gamefan.
Wasn't there also a Final Fight fighting game for the Saturn developed by the fellows who made Maximo?
The Saturn had interesting fighters! |

I don't know.
But from some friend of mine, Golden Axe the duel is a great game.
(Thinking of it, that friend eats children at early morning so I'm not sure is opinion could be of any importance) |

Golden Axe was great, The Duel on the otherhand was a different game altogether. It reminds me of Namco's WeaponLord. |

I've been playing a lot of Project Justice lately. I'm not sure what people think of this game but I love the crazy characters, great music and graphics. I'm best with Kyosuke since I used him in CvS2.
I need to get Asuka 120% for the Saturn.
There should be a fighting game tournament for the more obscure and unpopular(but still good) fighting games. |

| I've been lax with VF4evo lately - I need to play more before my Sarah skills become too dull. I bought Tekken 5 when Play-Asia had it for cheap, and so far it's been all about me liking Asuka and getting mad at the game for not being Evo...which means I probably just need to put more time into it, and actually learn it. |

KOF: Maximum Impact has been out for Xbox for a while now. It has online play. I was in the top 10 in worldwide rankings for a while, before I stopped playing.
Does anyone else have it and Xbox Live?

And who are now making Final Fight: Streetwise?
Yeah.
It's the game where Poison finally got her operation, so she could be all woman for Cody.
Was actually considering picking up MI Maniax just because I like Max Impact so much and I like excuses to play with the Xbox. I won't, because the money can go to better use and I don't want to bother unlocking everything all over again. If there were new costumes, I just might've been pushed over the edge. |

Any word on whether NeoWave is supposed to be a one-off or a series? It'd be nice to get a new and improved dream match game sooner than later.
And it would also be nice to have two series running concurrently.
XI looks like a return to 99-form, which can only be good. More later, once people return my e-mails.
Aderack- wait for the sequel, featuring more Falcoon. And hopefully less ugly presentation. |

It's just a test for the AW hardware. A quick and sloppy port of 2002, since that was the most current game at the time. I'll be surprised if anything more comes of it.

I know. I'm waiting. It's the fighting game I'm most looking forward to. |

I have lost my excitement for these two games as it will be ages before I get to play them. That's not to say I can't wait for it to come out in arcades as that would mean I wouldn't have to wait anymore... Somehow I doubt my nearbye arcades will have them though... :(

This is why the korean version of gunz is so much better. It is like killing void of uhappy insults. Insults will pierce my heart but sharp pointy supersonic bullets may never hurt me. |

I could never really get into fighters. I just never found them that interesting. I would finish some of the better ones with one character, then never really play it again. I never liked playing with friends either, since they would always know all the moves and kick my ass, and I didn't have enough interest to actually get any better.
The only fighting games that really interest me are quirky ones. Like Powerstone. The game was AWESOME. |

That's actually one of the games I hate, because all my friends are really quite good. It's almost pointless for me to even try.
Plus I don't like winning by just mashing buttons, anyway. I mean, what's fun about that? |

soul calibur's mechanics are simple enough that if you just pay attention to what buttons you are mashing, you should pick up on the system pretty quick.
edit: then again, i only know of one or two people who can consistently beat me at soul calibur. so maybe that game comes really easily to me. |

You just like it a lot, is all.
It takes the pragmatic match pacing of Samurai Shodown/Spirits and multiplies it by a million. |

Training to be adept at fighting games made me fail classes.
Also, the concept of the striker system needs to be implemented in more video games outside of the fighting genre. |

I hear you there. Almost failed my last exam because I (stupidly) brought Third Strike to the lab in case I got bored. My friends snapped me out of it, but I could have gone on all night. |
