i seem to recall one of my threads along the lines of "sheesh, Konami have really been killin' it this generation" was one of the original threads that accidentally kicked off FKW.... GOOD TIMES!
the bondage-porn hentai of Solid Snake burned many an eye that week. |

Let's have a thread in which we all discuss AND jerk off to how impossibly awesome Castlevania 1999 will be.
I seem to remember something about a thread along those lines in last year's FKW. Except we'll have more breakdancing this year. |

Would it be possible to do something related to The Simpsons arcade game? I'm looking over the PC port screenshots and wondering why they look much worse than I remember (I guess it's nostalgia, considering how I loved the damn game).
Or, hmm, has anyone ever done a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles overview, of the various ways the games have turned out?
I could probably think about doing something on Konami's Gameboy games... |

| Somebody make me a Konami avatar for the week. I'd ask for it to be of Kojima, but step already did that. Instead, I want the gayest Soma Cruz picture you guys can conjure. If it's good, I'll use it as my avatar for...a lot longer than just FKW. |

that doesn't make any sense. most flaws people have stated the game contains seemingly emerge over time. |

Not as far as I know. My two statements were unrelated, you see. Or rather, their relationship was spurious, not causal.
Ahem.
Because you see, FKW was Special Blend's idea, kind of. Or at least, it started when he was like "we should just make this FUCKING KONAMI WEEK" or something. |

doop doop-
I can pitch in with occasional Photoshopping if anyone needs something done, like avatars or whatever. Feel free to PM me on that.
I was thinking of doing something about the various logos of Konami itself, it's substudios and game series, like a picture series of their evolution with the occasional smarmy comment thrown in. We'll see if that pans out. |

I shal Document the Documents of Metal Gear Solid 2. Photos all. It is something I have been meaning to do for a while anyways. I have been playing MGS2:Substance recently in preperation for it.
I will also make an army of Silent Hill related avatars.
No Beatmania stuff this year though. |

Hopefully, by the time FKW starts up, Silent Hill: Devil's Lyric, a homebrew game for the Virtual Boy, will be done.
(I would have posted this on the front-page, but since its not done yet, I didn't figure it was ready yet)
I also intend on working on other homebrew games, all based around Konami games. |

I think the only acceptable Konami tribute would be to get a group of us together, find a couple copies of Zombies Ate My Neighbors, and play the shit out of them. All the way through, preferably.
If that's even possible.
The farthest I ever got was the level with massive worms that fly out of the ground.
I never had enough ammo to finish them both off.
How can you resist? |

No, they didn't, but they published it, so it's fair game, I guess? As is, what's the one that's mixed up with Assault Suits and the programmer said he was porting to GBA.....Metal Warriors!
Yeah, same guys worked on both titles (at least two of the major team members did).
Pity Big Ape is basically dead in the water now. |

Haha, that's how I remembered too. Right afterwards the music starts up, which is trying to be all creepy, and some girl screams but it sounds like a dial up internet connection.
I love that game. |

So....does anyone happen to have a list of companies with a "relationship" of some sort with Konami? Like Treasure, who has definite ties with the big K, although usually not in the way uninformed gamers claim. And then there's Ultra, or there was Ultra, I guess?
So, any other companies like that, partners and obscure offshoots of Konami?
It's a for a...potential project for FKW, although the more I think about the project, the more I like A) it kind of defeats the purpose and B) it's too damn much work. |

I don't know if this really IS news, considering I have a habit of missing all the important shit but this is from the 25 January 06 Kotaku update :
http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/konami/silent-hill-psp-and-others-make-konamis-06-list-150769.php
A lot of the titles have already been announced so there isn't much new there, but it's uh... their entire 2006 lineup! Most importantly :
Silent Hill Experience (working title)
Release date: Spring 2006
Genre: Multimedia
Platform: PSP system
Unique among all PSP system products available on the market, The Silent Hill Experience combines a variety of media – comics, music and movies – to deliver a complete behind-the-scenes look at the popular Silent Hill franchise. Using an intuitive 3D interface, Silent Hill fans will be able to view all-new digital interactive comics, listen to music from the long-running series of Silent Hill video games, and watch exclusive video content, including an interview with the director of the highly-anticipated Silent Hill motion picture.
I've heard nothing about this but it sounds uh... odd and probably crap. Reminds me of that Prince multimedia game. |

And Atlus, right?
Also, what was that NES game you made a detailed post about last year? Wasn't it for FKW? Should that be our ICGC FKW Edition game? |

Ah yes possibly Atlus. I remembered there was a new one since a few months ago, but couldn't get the name out of my failing memory. Also the game you think about might be Getsufuumaden. It was the Deathnote scanlation part of Quite an Orange Konami Week.

Dude, I tried to gay up Soma Cruz and I just couldn't. I gave him a daisy. I changed the sword into a dildo. I put a rainbow in the background. Nothing made him gayer than the picture was already. |
