I want to take this opportunity to address all the newcomers here.
I am a very lovable guy. Everyone on the internets likes me. Of course like every other videogame hero I too have my sworn enemies. Rest assured, however, that it's nothing personal. Except that one time when I was drunk and she was underage - but that doesn't count!! And, in any case, games would be boring without enemies TO CRUSH, you know. But then again there's The Sims, so yeah. Anyways, if you see people taking potshots at me it's because they're jealous. That said, here's a list of my most famous enemies and allies:
Enemies: DeusJester, BalbanesBeoulve, Psiga, Mister Toups, (insert your name here)
Allies: DonMarco, Legal Step, another god, Zero, winkerwanker, kokomo, special blend
See? I have more allies than enemies.
And you thought they were called "FORUMS OF DARK KOMBAT" for nothing. You foolish kid you. |

Yeah, happy to be back again ("back?" you might ask, but i wonder if anyone has noticed me or remembers me being around, so i just restarted with this alter ego). Some people might remember Kaguya, but now i changed to the OFX-2 name, "Valkyrie".
As some people might have noticed this name is (also) taken from R-TYPE FINAL where you can pilot some OF-fighters, i choose the second ones name, OFX-2 "Valkyrie".
So yeah, that's it for my name ... since i'm not a nativ speaker too, please mind my mistakes, thanks in advance!

Action Adventure like? Say, can i use a sword and a shield or have i to wait for my ATB-gauge to fill up to strike back.
Well, i don't think i want to find out, either ....

My name is Conrad (23). Some of you don't remember me, because I haven't used these forums often, after making the switch to IRC. I probably won't post at all after this, but I'll be lurking now and then. Anyway, here's some more about myself..
I've lived in southeast Pennsylvania for most of my life, save a few weeks and months spent out of state and/or country. I got average grades in school, and after graduating high school, I spent a bit of time taking programming classes, though I dropped out of that because I spent all my time playing Half-Life and GTA2 deathmatch over the school network, instead of LEARNING.
I'm currently without a place to live, though I've managed to get my parents to let me sleep on their dining room floor and store my Mortal Kombat arcade cabinet in their basement. It's cool and dry enough down there in the summertime, so I'm not complaining. |

Hello my brethren, I am professor scissors.
I sit around, being kind of stoic and talking about ABA Games. Sometimes I make a game and release it into the wild. Right now I have an alternate version of Zombie City III designed for people with no patience whatsoever. I think I like it better than the original. |

I don't really play games any longer, unless I'm in an arcade, where I'll search out either Taiko no Tatsujin or Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-Move.
I'm glad the IC forums are back.

Hi, DonMarco here. Some of you may remember me as "Sgt.Slaughter", "DonMacro" or maybe even "Socrates". This is my sixth self-introduction at insertcredit.com forums, and third as "DonMarco".
Where to start... I was born in Japan and spent years 1-19 living in North Carolina, Florida, Virginia, Michigan, and Germany. I speak three languages, but only one in public. And only one fluently. And I can count to ten in German, so make that four. After a year and half of crappy experiences in institutionalized post-high schoocl educations, I took it upon myself to seize the day, and the 1200 after it and go live in Japan, which I spell Jay-pan or Jay-pahn, to reflect the incorrect pronouciations most Americans use. Blah blah blah I failed the ni-kyuu by 8 points and am now living in sunny Florida at my parents house again. We recently adopted two cats. Only one will be named by a forum... More to come on that later, since it's tehnically a secret.
I've been around the IC forums for a few years. At least since the fall of 2002. Then again since October 2003. And now since 2 hours ago. I was one of the more "active" posters, and even without a post count sitting right below my name, you'll agree with me over the next few weeks.
La de da... What else? I'm trying to stray away from the uglyness of the last year I've been around IC, #IC, LPN and #playphoria... I can start clean just as well as anyone else. Sure I may hold angry, die-hard grudges against certian IDIOTS and FACIST OPPRESSORS and PANTY-WAIST INTARWEB GIANTS... But that's fucking life, so dal with it. OR! Just lighten up. I even dug up my old avatar to imply perhaps I'll be good? Or perhaps nothing, and I couldn't find my "bad marco" one. (which is a lie)
Say the B-word... I dare ya. I mean, for all the injoking and serious "assholelyness" I may or may not display, I am at heart, a light guy. I'd rather formulate the plot for "Splinter Cel: The Musical" than bitch at someone for no god damn reason besides what that person said or did WEEKS AGO. Except for that one time, but to be fair, it was right during my 3k absence.
Currently, I'm playing Mr. Driller for the PlayStation and finding out how much I have in my PayPal account. I "run" a website or four, "admin" at another forum, and "write" a fake show. And all on less than $30 a week.
Now for a picture!!

My name is Skye. I have nothing to do with the videogame industry, though I give it my money occassionally.
I harbor a belief that videogames have enormous potential as a unique artistic medium hinging upon their interactivity and that this potential has as-yet barely been capitalized upon. Thus my examples are few and over time I will slowly, gently annoy you. I like to think about things such as the psychology and religiosity of gaming -- ideas like the sense of grand design and plan centered around the player and his quest or the player's acclimation to a system of rules within which his skills and powers develop on multiple levels. I once posted about five pages theorizing the principles behind creating a sense of space in a virtual world. However, I am not "pretentious." Passionate engagement of one's interests is necessarily sincere and cannot be so farcical.
I often dump on discussions that seem too shallow to me or try to bolster them with deeper ruminations, often whining like a bitch when my ideas do not receive reply. Yet I love these forums and I love you. My heartfelt intentions can be misunderstood by particular members. Sometimes things get black. They smile to my face but then they talk behind my back. But what they lack is the facts about my stats. I am an S-Class Legendary Philosopher, Level 92. I am to be feared and regaled: celebrate my presence among you as I decorate your halls and slay your demons. Invite me to live and work among you and you shall be rewarded with companionship and fire.* We will be a light in dark places. On the Death Star.

Hi.
I run BlendSpotting on LJ, a modest parody of mainstream press. I contribute little to nothing.
I kind of/sort of created FUCKING KONAMI WEEK, which I take pride in. I also started the Unholy Trinity of Spammers, a group of vigilante noise makers who now nest in the DPS forum, at the top of the food chain, even.
My avatar creeps out dhex.
Can I stop going to LPN now?

I like console *and* pc games, i missed a couple of important years of development, from the n64 till the end of this particular generation (i didn't get a ps2 until last year, fr'instance), and i'm not nearly as funny as these other dudes.

hipkondo, did you just live for three months on a visa or did you actually have a job? I'm waffling between saving up enough for three months at a gaijin house and hoping to find something there OR applying with NOVA or AEON and getting the legitimate hookup, then finding another employer once I get there. |

Hi, my name is piyo, and I've lived through 2 or 3 ic forum resets. Before I used orange text for all my posts, but now I just use it for my name. I used to swipe literary greats' quotes and put them in my sig to sound imaginative (ie: "To err is human; to forgive, infrequent." - Franklin P. Adams), but in this age you can get your own RSS feed for them, so why delay my posting?
I rarely join in the discussion here at ic because the s/n ratio is pretty low and anything I write will drop it.
Video games? Yeah. Gal-game, shmup, FPS, puzzle, collect, raise, find-key. Probably in that order.
Game cred? I got a Pong knock off from Radio Shack, that you connect directly to your TV (includes RF connector with the screw forks). Kinda like those all-in-one controller games nowadays.
Anime? Yeah, hell yeah. Gal-game, cute/kawaii, bishojo. Not too much violence, please.
Avatar? Sugar from A Little Snow Fairy Sugar (en_US, ja_JP)
Hobbies? Other than the above, WinPC/gentoo tweaking, figure and telephone card collecting, camping in front of the redeemer/shock rifle whore, swimming, and walking to/from various anime/character goods shops.
NGJ? Navel Gaming Journal? Yeah. I suppose subscribing to this forum is advertising, so here is the obligatory piyo.
108? (or is the nick 106?) If he stayed in his Tokyo apartment without getting evicted I would have gotten that Jak2 video from him (b/c I sent him a postal money order of 1000 yen, but obviously he didn't get it).
Thanks for reading, and as always, keep your effervescent self.
