Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa
So, apparently between the original Disk System release and the later Famicon port by Konami, it was pirated and released as "Mario Baby." I think this is the cartridge for the pirated version. (I can't read a lick of Japanese...)
Edit: I realize that Phoenix Rie's link had a ton info about Bio Miracle, I'm not trying to take cerdit for that info, but it was fairly brisk on the topic of the pirated game: "(also known as Babyland or, inexplicably, Mario Baby [???])" and so I just curious if there's some additional data about the "Mario Baby" and that cartridge label. |

I'm about to finish Castlevania 4, so Bloodlines would be kind of cool...
...Though it would also be fun to play something less known (assuming I can acquire it without leaving my appartment, or spending any money)
edit: Shinobi would be cool too. |

I'd do Bloodlines. Or SH1. Been a while, and I just got it back from my friend who's borrowed it three times. I should just buy him one.
How 'bout Shadow of Destiny? Though I don't own it, I could borrow it. |

| Rock on! I just popped it in to fuck around a little bit as an excuse to hear the first stage song again. I love that song and how all it's fanfares and its medley just put you in the mood for a great adventure. It's treated me good before and I can't wait to go through it again. |

i made it to stage 4 before i game-overed trying to jump between those swinging platforms.
i'm averse to using continues so i'll probably give the game another play later. stage 4 looked like the most interesting thus far. |

The sole relation is Aki Hata, who, according to that site, only did music.
So that doesn't really get us anywhere.
Or me anywhere.
Other than the character designs, everything feels very Treasure-y. The variety of the levels, the segmented bosses, the over-the-topness. No one else gets the same vibe? |

Yea, I just had a recent revelation with Hard Corps in the same manner. I think the thing is that Konami is pretty dame great even w/o Treasure. |

| Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Rocket Knight games and Hard Corp are what make everyone think Treasure was some Konami internal team that left en masse. They may as well be Treasure games, and you're lying if you don't think the poeple that did leave weren't at least heavily influenced by a few Konami titles of the day. |

| I've never actually beat bloodlines. I haven't played it in about 2 years but it's been sitting in my Sega Genesis all that time so it makes it easy for me. If I hook my Sega up I'll probably end up playing Phantasy Star IV and forget about this whole Konami thing though. |

So I just played through Rocket Knight for the first time. On Easy. With copious save-stating.
I may give it another run-through tomorrow now that I have an idea of what possible in the game, but damn if that wasn't a fine piece of platformer right there. I have one complaint with the rocket dash, in that you can't really cancel out of it once it's begun. You really have to memorize the levels through trial and error rather than reflexes, since hitting a wall and bouncing backwards usually means death. |

Yeah, I was doing alright until level 3 and then the seizure-inducing flashing while trying to see invisible liquids made me call it a night. Was pretty cute up until that point though. I'll have to try it again sometime in a less crappy fashion. |

Fuck all that noise guys, what we need to play is some Penguin Adventure.
It's not only the first game Kojima was ever involved with, it's the best game on the MSX other than the two Metal Gears (and it may even be better than Metal Gear 1 as I've never really felt compelled to play through that one, though I'm sure Subsitence will change that).
http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/parodius/penguinadventure.gif[/img]
This game needs an update Konami. NOW. |

Yea, mine is a little smaller than when I got it (I think I got it in September?). It was XXL though because I know this stuff shrinks, so now it is an XL and it will still fit as an L, but not as comfy. Also, I just noticed that I was wearing that, I thought I was wearing a different hoody lastnight. |
