Cherry flavour and Vanilla flavour. AT THE SAME TIME?

It's like they're trying to top other pop drinks with their 'Classic', 'Cherry' or 'Vanilla' (and whatever other stuff is out on the market; hardly drink the stuff anyways) modifications. Next trend will be three flavours all interlaced with the actual taste of the original...then four. Ultimately getting to the same thing that was inflicted on Street Fighter.

They'll disguise the fact by saying it's a 'fruity twist' combination.

You are several months late, and it tastes better in a can.

I think most pop tastes better from a can but this is all they had. I'm done with my bottle now. Kinda got a stomach ache but that's the usual with Dr. Pepper. It doesn't seem to be too frothy like the Vanilla Coke. The flavor isn't too intense but still retains character.

I saw this at a Mexican liquor store a few weeks ago. Except it wasn't just Cherry Vanilla but DIET Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. The thought of it made me un-thirsty.

So how many stars would you give it, 1-8KEVIN?

I enjoy most any pop but lately I'm liking brands with a little more bite. I enjoy Jones soda, and those bottled by 7-up because their fizz bubbles feel smaller and sting more.

Pepsi stuff is a little weak on the fizz side and a little strong on the syrup side. Supposedly American pop tastes like shit because we use cheap corn syrup and most foreigners use other more expensive sugars. Can anyone verify this?

Also my favorite pop would have to be Ruby Red Squirt. Since most restaraunts don't offer that I usually default with Coke.

You are so wrong that it hurts my head to think about how wrong you are.

Also, apparently the Diet variation of the flavor at hand is where most of the Complex Pop Voodoo went. Supposedly it's quite the hit among those that restrict themselves to the liquid ass that is diet soda.

Also, look to our friends down south; Mexico is home to some high quality mainstream soda. I will start your adventure with direction, and that direction is Topo Chico. Start with Tamarind.

Oh man. Diet Cherry Vanillla Dr Pepper is fucking awesome. You know those Diet Dr Pepper commercials that says Diet Dr Pepper tastes more like regular Dr. Pepper? Well, they're fucking lying, even though it's still better than Diet Coke. But Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper really does taste good, it doesn't taste like diet soda at all. The artificial cherry and vanilla flavor hides the taste of the artificial sweetener, and it has none of that aftertaste diet sodas have. It's the only stuff I ever drink anymore. I'll be sad when they take it off the market like I know they eventually will. On a scale of 1 to awesome it's pretty great.

As for Mexican soda, there's this really good stuff called Delaware Punch. It's like Hawaiian Punch, but Delaware instead. And it's grape flavored. But it's not really soda because like hawaiian punch it's not carbonated, but it's still damn good.

me and doug jones FFDogged the hell out of cherry vanilla DP in FFDog VI, back in may.

that's final fantasy viii, you see.

anyway, DP is cherry-vanilla flavored from the outset. so i hereby order you to from now on call cherry-vanilla dr. pepper "dr.-pepper-flavored dr. pepper."

That's a hilariously wonderful name, now isn't it.

Also, the fat guy with the glove points out a valid point.....it really doesn't taste that different. Neither did Code Red. What's the Deal here, Pepper. If you were, say, a longwinded twat, you could like, totally go on about how that proves steadfast confidence in the superiority of their product in the face of their faceless brand-centric peers. But we're not going to do that, because that's not what we are. Most of us.

I stopped drinking soda cold turkey over five years ago. No real reason I guess, I just did, but I'm glad. I was such a hardcore soda drinker growing up; at my worst I was a 2 liter a day guy. Once I stopped, I felt better and instantly dropped 10 pounds. And I dare not touch it again, less falling back into the trap and not be able to get out again.

But its been hard since I love soda, especially when Fanta Orange came out in the states (it was my fave soda growing up in Korea). But now I've begun to notice that soda companies are running out of gimmicks and are just adding favor onto of favor onto of favor. Its almost as bad as candy with their orange chocolate kit kats and snickers mixed with milky way mixed with 3 musketeers on a cookies on a peanut butter cup.

I tried one Cherry-Vanilla 'Pepper the last time I was in Cali. It was pretty damned nice, really. Dr Pepper already has cherry in it, to my knowledge, but having extra cherry and some vanilla is pretty nice in itself.

I also tried going to Sonic Burger and ordering two Dr Peppers with add-in flavors of vanilla on one and cherry on the next. The vanilla was unimpressive and left a headache, while the cherry was actually pretty great. Not good enough to make me eat at Sonic Burger again, though.

DeusJester keeps wanting me to drink something alcoholic; we're considering setting me up with Dr Pepper spiked with everclear. I like this because I'll be able to tell people that I drank everclear on my first try. Fucking hardcore, etc.

Pepsi Blue, anyone? I know I miss it dearly.

When it comes to soda, though, just give me some Ginger Ale (Ale81, you lucky Kentuckian bastards. Great stuff, there) or some cream soda. I get too burned out on cola and the citrus flavored sodas.

Vault is just like Surge, which is nice to know.

Their Thanksgiving Day sodas are beyond disgusting. Though I do hear their mash potatoes soda tastes like mash potatoes.

Schweppes produced DP in AU? That's wild. In America it's produced by both Pepsi and Coca Cola. To think that they also had a deal with Schweppes is really interesting to me.

Yeah, Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper isn't bad. I've been trying to cut sodas out of my diet completely (helped me lose about ten pounds as well), but for the occasional splurge, it's actually good.

I overheard my high school principal mention to the kids loitering outside of his office that there's an elusive, different flavor of Dr. Pepper only available in Dublin, Texas, where the original plant is located. He claimed it tasted better, anyway.

I used to drink mountain dew like a fiend, but I've given up soda. now I just drink tea all the time.

You can buy the stuff online. It's the original recipe of Dr Pepper, made with antifreeze and cane sugar. Great stuff, though not as biting and fizzy. I despise high-fructose corn syrup, so I'd drink it exclusively if I could.

Actually, I heard that Mexican Dr Pepper has all modern ingredients except for the HFC. There's a trade problem with getting HFC across the borders, so Mexican sodas use cane sugar. So I've heard.

I've never seen Dr. Pepper whenever I go to Mexico. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist though. It's not uncommon for a soda to be available in a certain state and not be just across the state border.

I don't think it's a trade problem so much as it is that cane sugar is just cheaper and more common in Mexicon whereas HFC is cheaper here.

As much as I dislike the marketing of the Fuze line of beverages, they do get props for being entirely HFC free.
