EXTRALIFE! How does it feel to know that your greatest work is now behind you, and you are henceforth condemned to waste the rest of your time on earth meandering in the shadow of this accomplishment?
I feel relieved. |

Well whatever stop disagreeing with me I'm just trying to have an intelligent conversation over here I mean GOD I really think you're just going to run in circles with people if you keep this line of thinking up. |

It is here that I begin to lose your intentions.
it would be obvious to you if you had read the japanese strategy guide, which clearly states what my intentions are and why they are relevent.
Obviously a disagreement cannot be rationally had on this important topic
we are not disagreeing, merely having a discussion. you are stating your tragic and wrong opinion, and i am stating my, irrefutably correct, opinion.
so I must conclude you are simply exhibiting
sir, i am fully clothed. i am trying to have an intelligent discussion, meanwhile you are casting aspersions on my character. i guess this is that "insert credit feel" that insert credit is so notorious for.
I must agree with this element
i disagree.
Your sentience is not at the core of this issue
you see, if you read the employee's handbook found in the pocket of the nurse in the hospital, on page 133, you will clearly see "sentience is of the utmost importance" (japanese version only, my translation). so you see that sentience is of the utmost importance.
This is obviously an opinion based purely in the realm of speculation.
the stock market (japanese version) is irrelevent to this discussion. please stop trying to derail my thread.
the subject of sexual themes.
i am unconvinced that sexual themes have sexual undertones.
I have been playing Silent Hill 2
i disagree. you have clearly been playing the american version of silent hill 2. if you had been playing the japanese version, you would clearly see that i am right and we would not be having this discussion.
is this the "insert credit" flavor i have heard so much about? i came here looking for a serious discussion, but clearly all you people know how to do is talk about what tim rogers had for breakfast this morning.
maybe now you'll go and post about how you put strawberries in your cornflakes today. i just can't stand the self-importance of that guy.
go on, tell me i should be talking about the game. the irony will probably make my head explode. |

| Tim Rogers said he talked to the developers of SH2 and they did not mention shocking the player because THERE IS NO WORD FOR SHOCK in Japanese culture. The closest thing to shock is SHOCKU but it is like shock except extremely polite. |

i disagree.
Perhaps this will help clear up any confusion:
And incase that is not enough here is a quote from Science itself: Wikipedia.
In short, this is a known list of sex organs that evolve from the same tissue in a human life.
The glans of the penis is homologous to the clitoral glans, the corpora cavernosa are homologous to the body of the clitoris, the corpus spongiosum is homologous to the vestibular bulbs beneath the labia minora, the scrotum is homologous to the labia minora and labia majora, and the foreskin homologous to the clitoral hood. The raphe does not exist in females, because there the two halves are not connected.
So what your saying is we are supposed to see Freudian phallic symbols everywhere? I just don't buy it. Freud didn't say that at all. |

I remain convinced that this entire thread and all participants within it (despite previous posts in other areas of the forum), myself potentially included, is the work of an autonomous forum drama generator that's largely broken. I must assume that half the posts in this thread have been deleted and that the other half have been edited as if those posts had never existed, because to otherwise attempt an interpretation of the argument as it now stands is an invitation to futility. You're all incomprehensible and I'm taking on that characteristic myself, now, because of it.
Silent Hill 2's not what I'd call fun. I do like it, though, not that I'll ever play it again. |

I wouldn't go that far. Maybe it had transubstantitive properties for some. As a snobby Usenet veteran, I've seen worse. The subtle (or not) hipness of IC is enough to soften the edges and make conflict here at least somewhat above the level of brain-melting. |

I disagree that this is a bad thread. It is my opinion that the bad undertones of the thread are unintentional. I think you guys are giving IC too much credit here; interviews with IC in the Japanese user manual suggest that there was no grand design for this thread.
I'd like for their to be a thread that could address issues of badness, but in my opinion this thread is not it. |
