Perhaps not the most reliable source on the entire internet, but I count on them to be paying attention when others aren't (to obscure GBA news). It's quite believable, too.
(They probably got it from a NeoGAF Famitsu topic or one of those French news pages)
You linked me to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Okay. |

That's one of the two games that makes an appearance in my TGS Wrap-up!
I tried to deal with the main floor. So help me God I did. I picked up camouflage-skinned PSP and jammed down on the square button in some half-assed Metal Gear retread; I scanned a stack of cards into a copy of Sega’s Love and Berry, changing Love’s shoes from formal to semi-formal and back again. I found a promotional glowstick on the ground and waved it around; then I stopped.

Nanostray 2 screens
I'd list ten or twenty simple things they could do with the bottom screen besides put the score on it, but I'm afraid I'd offend the senses of those who prefer purity and simplicity in shooters.
Sigh. |

After staring vapidly at the message body form for about an hour, then carefully reviewing the screen layouts for both Nanostray and Nanostray 2, I'm going to have to admit that I had only one idea and it's not very good: put one of those funky music visualizers down there. Like, even just the one that looks like crazy sine waves. Make it follow the music and SFX.
.....
I've been firing blanks idea-wise lately, okay? |

That's not a bad idea. In fact, that's the sort of thing that would be right up Manfred Linzner's alley. I made some neat arrangements with that title screen sound randomizer in Iridion II. |

The bottom screen could be like a cockpit view of the pilots face grimmacing and making other faces during battle.
Screen cracks when your killed.
Oh and its gotta be like 80's anime style. |

Oh, the PS3 launches in Japan today/tomorrow, doesn't it? Wow. I actually had no idea. I guess that demonstrates how excited I am. Can't wait to see those TRUE HD images of Genji.
Marvel at the Japanese "Play Beyond" site as a bunch of people explain the raw, awesome power of the PS3. By that I mean, watch the spokeswoman from the progressively-named "Ninja Theory" (OMG a fucking ninja wrote it on the white board) explains how the power of PS3 allows them to create groundbreaking new games about a "beautiful" heroine in "a fantasy Eastern land" and a (gasp!) "prophecy"—my god, people, my god.
The wall-smashing splash movie is nice, though. |

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=307533
Stumbled across this in a clearance bin, while out picking up a wireless mouse today. I seem to recall someone--Dessgeega maybe?--wanting some GameBoyAdvance game cases a while back. This package includes two such cases, a travel case for the GBA-SP itself, a car adaptor, and "Body Armour". Not a bad deal for $2.
My two cartridge cases are translucent white and translucent purple. They hold GBA games very snugly, so it's a bit more of a pain to get them back out than it ought to be, but not any real trouble if you have a short fingernail.
The travel case holds three more games, along with the SP in a little padded area. While the games are clipped in place, there's really nothing holding the GameBoy itself in place except for the latch that holds the entire case closed, but it seems satisfactory otherwise.
The "Body armour" is a stinky, clear wrap of solid rubber for the exterior of the SP. It does seems to perform as advertised, adding shielding to the GameBoy while leaving all buttons and ports accessible, though I value my SP too much to drop it on concrete purposely just to be sure. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold to the back of the SP's screen as well as I'd like. Additionally, as a consequence of leaving the back ports and shoulder buttons accessible, they are also virtually unprotected save by two narrow straps of rubber between them. It seems like they intend it to be left on the SP, even while playing, which seems to work well enough.
As for the car adaptor, it does it's job. The end which plugs into the cigarette lighter seems designed for deeper lighters than are present in my car--a problem I've had before. Fortunately, it has the little power LED some adaptor's I've used don't; and after some fiddling I got it to make a solid connection and played off of the power, having drained my SP's battery previously.
So I guess, if you have an SP and a CompUSA nearby, it's a decent deal.
Re:Toe Jam & Earl, I've only played the second game, but my affection for rogue-likes has piqued my interest in the first.
Also, does anyone know why all instances of a period followed by two spaces, the standard as I understand it, have one space removed from them when posted? |

somewhere_else, HTML only let's you have one 'plain' space between elements. All the one's after that would have to use a specific space character to appear, but I'm not sure how browsers interpret all these (or if they do at all). Use nbsp, it always works.
Well, shit. It doesn't seem to work here. HTML does not process it. Wadeva.
And a period followed by 2 spaces is NOT a standard. |

So the Japanese are ebaying their PS3s just like us. Except they're paying chinese to stand in line for them. This seems pretty messed up. I guess the Chinese in Japan are the equivalent of Mexicans in the US? I can't imagine anybody would pay Mexicans to stand in line for PS3s here.

So homeless people are below Mexicans? Okay, then they're THIRD class citizens, not second.
There was a stir of sorts a while back when the local towns' police started creating a registry of homeless people. Made 'em give their information and get their mugshots and general location and everything, so they could track their whereabouts.
The police responded to the backlash with your general "post 9/11 world" bullshit. I figure if you can't afford food then biological weapons are probably off the shopping list. |

So Nintendo's spending more money on marketing the Wii than on any one thing they've ever marketed before.
And it looks like DVD playback is going to be software-based, meaning it'll probably be a download. One more feature introduced down the line to gradually expand the system. So anyone squawking about Nintendo constantly releasing new versions of hardware -- well, Nintendo seems to be addressing exactly that problem. If you buy the system down the road, it'll have the extra features pre-installed. If you buy it immediately, you can just upgrade as they're introduced. |

I don't know why, but I really love the first comment. I love when internet forumites believe their word is spread far and wide. $20 says that not a single Best Buy manager reads a single video game message board, nor do they give a damn about what gamers have to say about this PS3 launch, or anything. |

The mayor of Rome is apparently intent on banning Rule of Rose from being sold in the city, stating it "must not enter Italian homes" and "there is no way that a violent video game should be sold and distrubuted in our country."
Rule of Rose? Really? Seems to me like this is the first video game the mayor of Rome has seen in twenty years. It's a video game! And it's violent! NO WAY DUDE! |
