I'm currently trying to get through that part of Trauma Center where you have to cure five GUILT victims in a fucking row. I can get the first one down in two minutes to a minute and a half, but I don't know if I can keep it up.
And now I have to buy Godhand. Goodbye Dragon Quest 8 and Slime Controller! You will not be missed. |

My buddies swindled my God Hand, those fuckers.
While they were kind enough to help me lift some heavy shit out of the house they decided to check this shit out based on the (almost) awesome cover. That and we were talking about Shatterhand and Shadowrun and I brought this up.
They simple became enamored with it and it's feelings of badassness and well they took it away from me. I may not see it for a long long time :(
you can buy mine for $30 paypal plus shipping. i'll send it out at the end of the week. i got tired of it really quickly. |

That is a kind offer, but the first 2 weeks of the month I'm broke with a mountain of bills to pay off.
I'll eventually get it back. My friends have half of my games already. They usually at least wait to take them until after I'm done. |

I know, but I think Ninja Cop is a better title. It reminds me all those crappy ninja movies as "Ninja Terminator" or "Ninja Hunter". It's a pity that the european manual lose all the amazing story parts.
internisus wrote:
Funny you posted that just now, because my tool-assisted superplay video torrent finally finished downloading. It's completely ridiculous, of course. The guy is so damned skilled that I actually would hate to be that good.
I watched the video. It's jaw dropping, even knowing that it's tool-assisted. It's sort off "this is how ninjas really are, you moron!"
I think I'll try tomorrow to beat "Unblinking City" on hard in "Gunstar Super Heroes". I tried it before playing Ninja Cop, but Unblinking City is frustrating as hell. |

Yeah, the video was nothing if not ninja-esque.

Whatever. Maybe Bacon Lips will bite.
Edit: $30 makes no sense. $25 plus shipping. With media mail that's like $28 total? I played the game twice. |

Goemon (64): Legend of the Mystical Ninja is a surprisingly good and varied game.
if you have some change pick it up some time. (cost me 12usd)
Seriously the minigames like the Mecha fight and the hiding in the cupboard games were excelent side steps from the standard zelda-y gmae play. The first dungeon (transformed castle) wasa little striat foreward but I like that I dont feel ike Im going from dungeon A to dungeon B all the time. The characters and world actually create some greate videogamey comedy, what with the towns people vibrating viloentaly when they speak. Oh and PLA-SUU-MAAAA is the greatest in game hint system ever. Im very sad that the DS sequil will not be translated offically. |

Protip (or, rather, notpro-tip): you don't have to cure all five victims to clear that mission. As I recall just three is enough. Curing more just improves your rank. |

I've been playing an awful lot of Shoot the Bullet lately. I've cleared stages 1 through 5 and all but one of the scenes on stage 6, with a couple scattered clears on stages 7 and 8.
I also got an absolutely breathtaking superplay of Imperishable Night's Extra stage. Some of those spellcards are simply unbelievable, and also gorgeous. |

Awesome! If I ever get off FFXII I'll boot up the old 360 and maybe challenge you to a few laps.
Speak of the devil, of course I've been playing FFXII for a straight week now. Mostly griding, trying to improve my characters and perfect my gambits, but FUCK if that goddamned motherfucker [spoiler] still doesn't chew me up and spit me out. Shit, the pictures in the guide show a party significantly weaker than mine, so what the hell am I doing wrong? |

I'm playing Contact at work right now, see?
And I have this girlfriend.
And when we're traipsing from island to island we don't have a whole lot to talk about, so I run about in circles training to increase my power level until the Prof. tells us where we're at.
So I decided to make myself some butter and coconut milk and walked downstairs, when, at the same time, I guess we arrived at our intended location: Aegis.
Game got all wonky.
Top screen goes to destination cutscene, but th bottom screen was on the downstairs deck. When Terry walked out of the lab (top) he walked sideways out of the staircase (bottom screen). Both screens faded to black.
Terry and bug-loving girlfriend then came out of the proper bottom-screen lab entrance when the scene faded back in again.
I left the boat and started on my way.
Now, I keep the sound off on my DS for fear of being discovered by a supervisor. Walking through Aegis, I noticed the screen was bobbing up and down, as if Terry still had his sea legs. That's odd.
I turned the sound UP and I hear the sound of crashing waves.
Really odd!
So now, everywhere I go, I hear the "waves" noise, and if I'm idle the screen drifts up and down. |

Can't you just bust a move past him and down the corridor? I mean, you're not going to get the phat lewt or whatever that's behind him; you don't have to fight him if you don't want to though. |

| The wife bought me God Hand off the Internet for cheap as a nice surprise. I like it a lot. She was totally perplexed by the first cutscene with Gene talking about how he was sexier than everybody and then she was disgusted with me and wouldn't engage in connubial bliss as is my right as a husband because one of the guys in the game groveled at my feet and then punched me in the dinger and I said "hey! he punched me in the dinger!" She doesn't like the word "dinger." |

leave it for the second play-though. after already opening those unopenable chests, i feel like my game has been tainted forever. i'm just gonna do what i need to do to survive this game, and next game do things like power-level vaan to 20 or 30 before the first palace (because all your party members join you at your current level) and buy all the grimores before I even do anything important, etc. |

To hell with that. I stopped caring about the zodiac weapon already, so I'll play the rest of it like I mean it. What are the odds of this game having New Game+? I think all RPG's should, frankly. |

I was looking forward to kicking the crap out of level 1 with all my fancy hard-earned moves. Also I'd like to see the new unlocked moves, but my money stash is gone. |

I always liked how the cosmically/mystically powered boss villians, instead of relying on their innate powers depicted in the comic books, hide behind fishmobaby whirlagig gunbattery contraptions in Silver Surfer. And Mr. Sinister-but-not Mr. Sinister-but-a-giant-purple-golem as the end boss. What the hell.
I had a feeling this was made by the same people who did LJN's Wolverine. |

i got Scruge:Hive today and just played the first 2 chapters.
now i'm totally biased, cause i've been kinda looking forward to this game ever since it was anounced half an eternity ago, and me and a friend agreed to totally enjoy the hell out of it on premise alone regardless of actual quality, but so far, it's pretty fun. that and i finally got my ice blue DS lite today, guess that also helps.
anyone else playing this? |

I've been really meaning to buy this since I have also been looking forward to it for quite awhile. Give me some teasers?
Still, I am debating between the GBA and DS versions. Are there any noticable differences? I would almost rather have the GBA one since I can play that on the micro, DS, and GBAPlayer depending on my mood.
Especially since I'm still playing MegamanZX (how nice that the previous owner unlocked Hard Mode for me) and FFXII. |

| My brother gave me an old copy of Ace Combat 4. For some reason I've never played any of these games before! So far I've mostly just been playing the vs. mode with him, and that's been pretty enjoyable, but I just started playing the single player missions and the sensation of depth/space is wonderful. I might want more after this. What's the best one in the series? |

| Finally got and am playing contact, way after everyone else in the entire universe. Playing it makes me realize that i enjoy rpgs/action rpgs with only one party member much more than rpgs with multiple members, which either makes me a staunch invidualist, a selfish bastard, or an irresponsible nonmanagerial type, or some combo of all the above. I'm quite early on in the game, though, I just started wandering around the military base. |

Shit, part 4 is a wonderful place to start. I haven't played part 5, but I do have AC: Zero, and I think it's great. Semi-branching missions, enemy Ace encounters, nice cinematics, and naturally all the fighter jet dog fighting you can handle. Music isn't as memorable, save for the final theme (also featured in the trailer, which is worth checking out). |

about Scurge, right?
i got the GBA version, according to IGN (only review i found that mentions any differences) the GBA version actually looks better. but that's all i know, haven't seen the DS game in action.
oh look on the orbitalmedia forum people haven't figured out either which one's prettier. |

Yeah that inquiry was about Scurge. It looks like a good time. I may grab it this weekend if I can find the GBA version, in this case.
Maybe I'm just getting old, but seeing my little sprite run around blasting mindless aliens seems like a nice throwback to days gone by. Perfect for pick up and play |

I played a match of SmackDown vs Raw 07 before work this morning.
"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes vs. Shaun Daivari w/The Great Khali in his corner.
I smacked him in the belly-welly, and then hung 'im up on the Tree of Woe.
Then Khali ran in and tombstone'd me. |

I should add that if you ever get the retro itch, stay the FUCK away from part 3. They seriously butchered it for the US release. Part 2 on the other hand, is remarkably modern for such an early PS1 game. |

I remember playing a lot of the Ace Combat 2 demo that came with my PS1 back when I got it for Christmas in '97. Great times were had in just that one level, too bad I can never find the game because I'd buy it up in a heartbeat if it were cheap enough. Ace Combat 4 is pretty top notch too, and the only game in the series I've played to completion. Haven't checked out part 5 yet. |

75 hours into my Suikoden marathon (16 hours for Suikoden I, 44 for Suikoden II (wasted a lot of time with Richmond)) and I can now see how Suikoden II and III are a pair of sorts. Actually they're more of a point-counter-point. The moral of Suikoden II is that peace can only be found under a single united government that can crush any thoughts of regional nationality. It reminds me a lot of Hero, which in turn would likely remind me of some classical chinese litterature if I were better read.
Suikoden III, on the other hand, preaches that peace can only be found through negotiation and compromise and that different people should have different nations to keep them mingling and, as a result, fighting. It's isolationism vs expansionism and jingoism, only with magic and elves. |

The Legends in this years game are pretty good. Bam Bam was a pleasant surprise but I'm desperately wishing Vader is a legend in the next SvR.
Oh boy, they've really screwed up the weight detection system. Cruiserweights can't lift heavyweights so Gregory Helms can't lift or strike Carlito. Sometimes I wonder about Yukes. |
