Oh okay.
Seriously, since when have I played the musical taste dictator? I'm not aware of doing anything to inspire such a title. |

Yes, what ever would have given me the idea that that is how you felt?
I mean, we're having a debate about sub vs. dub. If you have a brain, you cannot yell at someone for wanting the original language track for ANYTHING. EVEN IF IT IS JAPANESE OMG |

Seriously. Even if the Japanese voice acting was atrocious (which I highly doubt), that doesn't mean the English voice acting should be. |

True, but I guess I just have so little faith in Sega that I'm frankly thrilled that the game is coming out here at all. They could have had Gilbert Gottfried do all the voices and I'd still be impressed. |

That actually sounds like a good idea, Toups. I would play that game. I think the best fit would be a Kid Icarus game for the Wii, somehow.
He'd even do the women voices, right?
Shenmue's voice acting at least made it comical, and it was a game where you were to avenge your father's death (after playing Outrun with your allowance). Yakuza, from what I'm told, is a more serious take on that style of gameplay--I'm not sure if it's conducive if I'm going to be choking down laughter every 20 seconds.
I will probably not Step Da Fuck Up!, Sega, unless you prove you know what you're doing with this. |

| So it seems that even the big time game sites are doing import previews of KOF XI. That kind of coverage is usually resevered for Square RPGs and the llike, so I'm surprised about the attention its getting (and it all seems positive too). Now if only SNK would say something about its chances of coming out over here. |

PSone emulutar [for the PSP] also out in October: first games will be TOMB RAIDER, Castlevania SON (กกกก!!!!), FINAL FANTASY 7 and 8, SILENT HILL. Along 2007, near 7.000 psone titles will be available for the PSP
If the pricing is reasonable, and "7.000" is supposed to be "7,000," this will probably be the defining feature of the PSP. |

In an interview with Suda51 in the August 2006 issue of Nintendo Power:
Goichi Suda: (...) Here's surprise number two: We'll be making Contact 2 for... um, a Nintendo platform to be announced. |

| The latter. "Surprise number one" was that he's working on a project for the Wii, so I don't think Wii is the "platform to be announced." |

They should package it with Neo Geo Battle Coliseum. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. |

I think it means (in that typical Japanese way) that they aren't yet able to announce which platform in particular they're developing it for. Which probably means the Wii, yeah.
As for the NGBC combo-pack: yes! That would be the brightest move, I declare. Not even Sony could say no! |

Gamespot has a decent write up, but I'm sure it's only because Greg Kasavin runs the place and he's an old Neo Geo freak. |

Here's Gamespot's coverage on the import. It prob. does exist simply because kasavin wrote it, but the game is currently number 4 on the top ten most watched PS2 games. Its also being featured in Yahoo games as well.
While it doesn't fit your criteria of a non crappy site, IGN has a preview too, and amazingly, it isn't blatantly incorrect about a lot of things.
Not a ton as of now, but I'm surprised its getting any coverage. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if someone like 1up or gamespy followed suit in the near future. |

Yeah, I'd guess it means a Contact sequel for the Wii, and the other project is something else entirely perhaps another game in the style of Killer 7 or Blood. We can hope! |

| according to CheapAssGamer.com forum, Blockbuster/GameRush is having a 75%-off clearance on a bunch of games. the clearance prices apply only to "new" (not used) items. the info is prolly most valuable if you have a GameRush store near you, as the selection of new-games-for-sale is usually not very good at vanilla Blockbusters. (thus it is pretty useless to me, but hey [maybe it will do somebody on IC some good]) |

Ay! If they ever drop to $150 and and the right color isn't available on these shores (most likely). I'll be all over it.
Still would need a way to get rid of my old DS though. At this point who would want it? |

i'd like it more violently pink, but hey.
i'm not sure this is news, but just in case any fellow europeans are interested in this, earth defense force 2 (or the chikyuu boueigun 2 or however that's spelled), sandlot's developed and jiji's much-pimped alien genocide simulator, should be released in at the very least spain next month, as "global defense force". (there were some rumors about a release via 505gamestreet some time ago, and then d3 europe came up, but i hadn't heard anything definite for quite some time.) |

i don't think this has been mentioned, but there's a new Rockman RPG coming to the DS. apparently it's called Shinsei Rockman ZN, and takes place in the same universe as the EXE series (but, like ZX, is set much further in the future).
you can see some artwork here. it's...yea. i haven't seen any screenshots yet, so it's hard to tell if this will be yet another mindless update to the GBA series. although part of the "message from the dev. team" says it's a "Data Action RPG," so my guess is yea.
however, since there's a huge emphasis on the idea that the cyberworld is now all connected wirelessly, maybe they'll do something interesting with the DS wifi.
Edit: also, here's a translation of a message from the EXE team (i.e. PR bullshit). i can't tell for sure, but i don't think it's a translation of the current message on Capcom's site, so it may have been from a few days ago. |
