| The only legal drama I've ever enjoyed is Pheonix Wright. |

It's been faltering a lot this season. I guess I can see why Ging would be cool with sexdolls and midget fetishes, though. (snap)
Mm, but yeah, until The Loop starts its next season, I don't think there's anything I like watching anymore. |

| Actually, its my gf's fave show at the moment. She really into the Shatner and midget sex thing as well. The way she describes it, the show sounds pretty awesome, but... I'm just going to wait for the DVDs. I just don't have the time for any network television these days. |

James Spader and William Shatner have amazing screen chemistry. I'm pretty certain that you'll become hooked once you start watching. This season is just more low brow than before: They seem to be going through the list of deviant fetishes, and making a lot of breaking-the-fourth-wall comments that seemed cute in moderation last season but immature and overplayed this season.
Unless they do a furry episode soon, you will probably be able to take it without flinching -- I'm pretty certain the indie comic scene has given you a super thick skin to fetish humor and breaking the fourth wall. |

| I watched a bit of one episode a week ago and it worked pretty well. Shatner's enjoyable! You really should be watching Studio 60 and The Office, too, though Ging. |

It sounds like Studio 60 will probably be cancelled.
I have mixed feelings on this. On the one hand, Mathew Perry and Bradley Whitford are amazing leads and Aaron Sorkin's dialogue is always enjoyable (though unlike Joss Whedon, another god of speech, he doesn't give his characters unique speaking styles). On the other hand, the subject is much less interesting than The West Wing, and it's twice as long as Sports Night, so it feels like it's already running out of material after half a dozen episodes. And almost everyone agrees that the fake skits in the show are terrible.
It's better than post-Sorkin West Wing, at least. |

| Actually they ordered more scripts for Studio 60! Or at least I saw that on GAF. |

Yeah but apparently it's unlikely that they'll get made... the shows already having trouble with ratings, and skipping a week certainly isn't going to help that.
It doesn't help that the audience is so different from Heroes. I think The Office might have been a good lead in for it. |

| It's such a shame since I love his dialogue so much. Studio 60, if it got picked up by HBO or Showtime, would make me get cable. |

I actually watched a few episodes from the first season DVD set. I was a bit confused at first by how it tried to be all crazy wacky and yet serious at the same time, at least since it's also a lawyer show. But its different, so I was able to appreciate the producers going for something fresh. Though I guess that's what made the NYPD Blue presentation all the more annoying. Is there some rule that every ABC needs to follow that mold?
But yeah, Shatner and Spade were indeed fun to watch together. I can see the showing totally balls out insane being both a good and a bad thing. Thus far my gf enjoys it, so I trust her tastes, but I'll have to make the final call myself.

| So this show is wacky? Is it a comedy? About fetishes??? I thought it was a totally serious drama (yeah even Shatner) spun off from the Practice or something. |
