So, I'm working on this thing right now.. this thing being a site where I sell American lighting equipment to Japanese folk. Who reside in Japan. Only thing is, I'm not sure how to get it seen, other then the obvious choices of Yahoo Japan and Google. Any one here with some Japanese Internet experience mind pointing me in the direction of some other sites where I can get my store noticed?

Goddamn, ain't that an idea!

But, let's narrow it down a bit.. other then 2ch, which isn't really appropriate, I don't know much in the way of other Japanese forms. Maybe Yahoo groups? I also don't wanna be spamming, either.. so like free general site directories would probably be best...

I think it is an excellent idea to build a business around selling things to people that you only know of through your favorite tentacle-rape forum.

2ch is just a huge general forum for everything under the sun.

2chan is with the tentacles and the raping.

Nope. Still at it, though. I found a couple of other online Japanese "mall" directories I put my site up at. I figure I probably won't really be noticed until I can again get it up on Yahoo Japan, which will cost me roughly $500 which I don't have at the moment. Hopefully I'll have that done within a couple of weeks.

Another one I forgot about. Looks a lot like Yahoo.. hopefully it won't be as hard getting my site registered on there.

Thanks!!

If it's his mixi blog we're talking about, I don't think a link on there will bring much business.

On the other hand, though, there's an idea - you can spam yourself on lighting-centric mixi communities! There has to be at least a FEW communities on there about indoor lighting...

Well, mixi did cross my mind.. but it ain't it kind of a pain to get signed up for it? Or maybe the only hurdle was having a Japanese domain for your e-mail address, which I have now.. hmmmmm.. thanks for the suggestion...

I don't think I would get many hits out of a link from Tim's secret blog, but it might help my Google page ranking..? This shit's mostly all new to me.

PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you one.

Try not to piss too many people off, though. :P
