|
I've just got the hang of this uploading business to Youtube and have just uploaded some of my animated films for everyone to see!
The Happiest Monster (my first year film with music by Mr. Toups)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg8mZKbUzwE
The Machinegun Opera (a 48 hour film)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwMxtzxncjI
Now this gets me curious about how many posters here have made videos, whether of concerts, animation, or dumb shit, and then uploaded it onto Youtube. This is different from that other Youtube thread because this is about content that ICers have made! Post your videos that you're proud of and let's all comment and leave harassing messages to each other!
Also, anyone have tips on exporting videos to make high quality Youtube videos? Should I have not shrunk my movies into small 320x480 mp4 format files prior to uploading? The quality I've got for my stuff is kind of crappy and I'm wondering if uploading a larger quality file would've been a better idea. |

Holy fucking shit that's great. Congrats! I'm spreading the word. Perfect music, too, Toups. It just keeps the whole thing moving nicely.
EDIT: I have videos, yes! They are mostly of the recent big comic convention. Look for user LestradeTGQ. |

I actually LOLed for real watching that first one. The second one was enjoyable as well. You are quite good at drawing things, Persona!
I wanted to vote "Whenever I'm at work" but the option wasn't there. |

Holy crap, Persona, your animations are full of awesome and win.
I also like It's Christmas, Bitch!
How long did "Happiest Monster" take to animate, and who did the audio for "Christmas"?
I wish that I could convince you to help me create something awesome. Perhaps you have something awesome that I could help you create? |

It's okay, Mat, you're still my e-lover. <3
Thanks for the comments, guys. My Happiest Monster film was one of today's honored top favorited or something in the animation/arts category! I feel so special.
Also, newave, that Speed Racer amv was awesome. I never actually saw any Speed Racer as a kid, but I guess I'll have to sometime just to get my fill of awesome 70-80's anime! |

Persona - those were great!
I especially liked the use of the Emelards at the end of the second film. |

-Was thinking of linking to my group's demo reel, but since we're redesigning our site and making a fresh reel for '07, I have to wait..
Persona, may I ask - Out of curiosity, what animation programs are they teaching/using at your school? |

Damn, that's incredible, especially the happiest monster one. That's like what Edward Gorey would have been if he were anime inspired instead of, you know, all gothic and stuff. |

I love how the happiest monster is just long enough - I started to zone out just right before the end, which made it that much more effective.
persona you are so ready for mid-nineties mtv (I mean that in a good way). |

| 320x240 and as close as you can get to 100MB without going over is the best way to maximize YouTube quality! |

I've made one video on youtube that was mentioned earlier.
My other, latest one is:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=EQjrZRNvMoY
I made it (and made violence on myself) on a PS2.
Anyway it's an invitation and consider yourself invited! |

We use After Effects to put our animation together and then we compile that with audio in Final Cut Pro. I guess we do our actual animation on lunchboxes though.
Also, Thom you must upload more of that band. I always assumed they were Sexmachine Guns because the "Talk about Love" song was always organized next to them. I really love that guitar rift at the beginning! |
