She looks like the girl from Gundam X who is probably that Gundam's Char. The big difference with her is that she's the rival of the Gundam pilot not because of a professional and later personal feud, but because a 14 year old boy refused to have sex with her.
No, I'm totally not kidding.

Did you know mecha are completely unfeasible for any combat outside of the jerk-off narratives of dry-dicked manchildren? A couple of cheaply armed guerrilla units with RPGs would reduce your lolita-driven cyber-phalluses to a pile of smoldering slag and panties faster than you could say KAWAII DESU!
You see, Tanks require a low profile for their armour to deflect rounds and be effective, plus apache gunships can do anything else required in an urban enviroment without exposing themselves to crippling strikes from over-the-horizon artillery
Just some millitary theory for you!!!! |

Who needs a beam saber when I can use a shoulder-mounted anti-armor system to kneecap your overgrown transformer then watch from my perch as it topples to the ground and a mob tears the pilot apart with their bare hands
who indeed |

Dude I don't think you understand modern tank theory. We've known since the early Cold War that tanks aren't as good as helicopters; during wargames, a single helicopter could take down 15 or something tanks before even being detected. However, air power and air superiority do not win wars. Despite heavy bombing, the German war machine was still incredibly strong during the invasion, and despite having air supremacy in Vietnam, we didn't exactly win that one, now did we? Tanks and armored vehicles are needed to provide a controlling force on the ground after the invasion, even if other forms of weapons might be more useful during the actual invasion itself.
Besides, new types of armor are making tanks less obsolete. Armoring a helicopter is much harder, given the necessary exposed parts that enable it to fly, and that things that fly need to be as light as possible. And pretty much anything can be taken down by an RPG; that's the whole fucking problem with modern warfare. You can't just throw a bunch of money at a problem when maybe a thousand dollars of equipment can take down millions, and America isn't really prepared to send in million-man armies.
As for mecha being kind of unrealistic: no shit, dumbass. Is your next brilliant observation going to be that men in tights hopping on rooftops would be inpractical towards solving crime in New York? I would expect a guy who is apparently obsessed with the fanbase of a game about a supersonic animal who collects golden rings and magical emeralds to understand the idea of fantasy. However, for you, I would suppose that fantasy and reality are kind of hard to distinguish nowadays, huh? I don't blame you; I wouldn't be able to take the constant abuse of being a Sega fan, either. Hell, I would have probably unhinged by the end of the Saturn era. Maybe even between Chaotix and 3D Blast.
The difference with mecha, of course, is that they have same basis (if an ill-founded basis) in reality, and the types of people who watch those shows tend to be people with at least a passing interest in science, technology, and engineering. Thus we get the dude in Alaska who's building a gas-powered bipedal robot. No one is going to pretend that these things have any real possible application beyond one or two very specialized uses that could be better handled by something else anyway, but we are going to keep saying that they look fucking awesome.
Also, seriously dude, can you chill out a bit? You're passing from "ironic nerdrage" into "I'm worried" territory lately. I'm sure we can all appreciate you finding pics of Mega Man villains but female and pregnant but I think you need to take a breather from the Internet. If you've been under some kind of stress lately, I'm not going to judge you; I'm just saying that at this rate, I'm getting kind of annoyed with your antics, and I don't come to these forums to engage in "hilarious" flame wars. |

Wilkes I know you don't read the paragraphs but I make them long on purpose because they're not meant to be read. The way my mind works, it assumes no one will ever want to read what I have to write, and tries to pad it with quantity to make it seem at least unique.
You can see this literary tactic in action by browsing the politcal and economics books at Barnes and Noble. |
