Hey. I kind of knocked you a while back for liking Eureka 7 a while back, and I wanted to apologize.
I still don't like it, but I'm beginning to see what they were trying to do with the whole thing, and (begrudgingly) I have to admit that despite some serious faults, it does contain elements worthy of emulation. |

| TOLLMASTER, I begrudgingly admit that I wish to emulate your very personality in my everyday existence, yet I am not worthy. Please smite me! |

I'm not really into the smiting thing, or even much of the Old Testament deal. I do, however, sentence you to construct at least one post that contains a single paragraph of eight sentences. The topic will be of your choice, but you will get extra hash browns in the diner on the way to Heaven if the topic involves any two of the following:
a. robots,
b. thumbs,
c. Master of Orion 2: Battle of Antares, and how its technological progression system shows the creators knew the importance of scientific research while admitting that the process was useless to everyday life,
d. the phrase "breaks beyond traditional barriers in proto-surrealist video game construction." |

There are so many faults with the series that it's kinda silly. I can really understand if people dislike it, or just can't find enough to like about it. Still, I think the series was very deliberately put together, so the faults are there because that's what it takes, and the glorious parts are there because that's what it takes. It's not a fluff piece, but it is a nutritionally devoid chunk of yummy rock candy. It's totally a modern show, unabashedly trendy in its style. |

Agreed. I was kind of blinded by the trendiness that I dismissed most of the elements that it does well. Certain elements of the show may actually be genius, if I could convince myself that they were done like that on purpose, rather than happenstance. If animes are flapjacks than this one is sticking to the ceiling. I forgot where I was going with this exactly, but it was something like "it's not exactly where I want it, but that didn't stop it from trying, and flying high." I'm kind of glad I can't complete that thought, to tell you the truth. |
